I have a 69 conv and am trying to take the window out on the drivers side. It's a non power window. Looked at it and know I can't do it without help. Help!
I think yours is simialr to my 68 conv...there are two phillips head screws on a bar that runs just on the bottom of the window...you would never think they are what holds the window on, but they do. Unscrew those two screws and take the stoppers off of the roller tracks and with a little wiggling and rocking (maybe a lot) back and forth the window will come up off the roller guides and off the bar.

Mine were bolts, two or three. Wiggle it loose, voila.
The bar your talking about, is it the horozontal bar that runs from one end of the window to the other?? At what position should I do this? With the window down I guess. Don't think there's any room with the window up?
Went downstairs and looked and it's a philips. And there's a slot on the bottom of hte door to unscrew it. Did that but it seems like something is preventing me from removing the glass. Is the other track arm in the middle of the window holding it back?? So close but yet so far. Thanks guys for you help too! Will look at it in the morning.
P.S. Do you guys know how the door handle works?? My door doesn't open from the outside. Have to leave my window open so I can open from the inside. Pain in the butt. Looks like some kind of shield or something blocking me from seeing the back of the door handle. Thanks.

Tony, Yes...there are slots in the door frame that enable you to reach the screws. Roll the window down until you line up the slots with the screws and then unscrew them...the only thing holding that window on is those two screws ant the upper ro;er stops...it takes a lot of movement to free it up if it hasnt ever been off. Also, hopefully you already took odd the window felt and seals to give you more room to work.
