CHEVY POWER
Congrats on the new vette. Unless you swap out the old dog L48 you don't want to hear the answers to your q's. It doesn't have any real Hp's not torque and its not fast. Be happy with what you got or be prepared to drop $3000 to mk it what your looking for. G/L post pic's of your new vette.
does I really need to swap the motor to get some performance???
Can I purchase some performance parts for this motors (350 4 barrels)
Some guys said It produce 160hp but said that GM don't said the right hp cause of the emission regulation?? Is it true??
Do I get a L81 or a L82 motors for this year and does GM produces some LT-1 in 1975???
Sorry maybe it's a stupid question but Im a newby!!!!
Thanks
I think you should do some reading about the small block chevy engine(that's what you have in your car '350 4 barrels') It is a very easy engine to modify and make lots of power. The performance parts for this type of engine are more than plentiful, there is a MIND BOGGLING amount of performance parts to choose from.
There is no reason for you to swap out your engine! Just modify what you have.
BTW, I think for around $1500 you could easily make over 300 HP if you do the work yourself.
And the poster above is correct, for 1500 bucks or so you could nearly double the stock HP.
Where is St Nicholas? I might be putting together a "track day" with a bunch of guys from work at Sanair in early May if you want to see how fast (or slow...) your car is in the 1/4 mile.
good thanks a lot!!! What do you suggest for the exhaust???
Which headers and which muffler??? (I like it really loud) and do I need to change my carburator???
