I feel for you,, I just did this on mine in the past months. Have you considered having your rockers manufactured locally,,, I did this and the results were excellent,, much cheeper than I thought too.

Reason I went this far is to ensure I was addressing all the rust in the cage area. It only took about 4 hrs. to remove the firewall. (Heat gun, drill to remove rivets, and a putty knife.) At leat I'll know condition when it goes back togther. Where did you get the NOS channels if you don't mind telling me? Like Mike B I will be fabbing up the bottom door pillar plate that has the hole for the bushing. I can do that at work. Just have not figured out how to remove it yet without cutting open the pillar itself. I also plan on spot welding a brace from the pillar uprights to my body jig to hold the pillars in location before I remove any bracing. Probably will cross brace as well from left to right across the firewall area just to be sure. Thanks
Cut out the bottom plate of the rocker and then remove the bottom plate of the pillar with the hole for the body mount from underneath. Then weld in fabbed patch panels. It's all basically flat pate with the exception of the turned up ears on the body mount plate.
