There are sooo many types of R134 for sale at Autozone. Are they all the same. Some say they have NASA technology and cool 50% better, than the std can next to it on the shelf, but cost twice a much. Snake oil or truth?

Sorry should have been in general section.
probably snake oil.....
i would get the stuff that is 134A ONLY, nothing added.
Be careful, some of those cans are NOT 134, they're propane based and although they will work, they can cause problems for a shop if they have to fix it later ( It's illegal to mix refrigerants in both US and Canada).
Another point.
Why do you need to add charge to your system?
IF it's just because it's been slowly leaking over years ( little or no oil has leaked) and you just need to top it up because the compressor's cycling too fast, your compressor oil is probably ok and just a can of 134 (sealant additive is OK ) will do.
If the systems been totally open,or next to empty you need to get the moisture out of the system before you charge it, otherwise your compressor life will be reduced (and you're looking at adding compressor oil).
Spend some time before you start and read the directions, if you just start adding stuff, you're running the risk of killing your compressor $$$$$
