Default 80 Hood Height Adjustment

I have been stripping my 80, and just realized that the hood across the front is not level. The driver's side is raised a little over a 1/4 inch while passenger's side is recessed about the same. I looked at the front hinges thinking that there may be an adjustment of some kind. I was thinking that I could shim the passenger's hinge a little where it attaches to the hood, but there doesn't seem to be a way to recess the driver's side hinge so that the hood is relatively flush with the body. Am I missing something? Any suggestions are appreciated. Problem is I never noticed this before, and now it's going to make me nuts!
Thanks,
Ed

The shims go between the bottom of the hinge and the fender skirt. It it is too high and no shims to remove, I don't know what to tell you.

Default header bar

you should check where your header bar is bonded to the nose at the front of the hood opening. i have fixed a couple cars with maladjusted hoods in this area by rebonding the nose bar. look and see if it is loose. this problem is a lot of times accomponied by poor fitting headlight covers / broken headlight frames.
