Alrighty then!! Let's try that one more time, shall we? I posted the beta link by mistake. The link above is the correct one. Sorry for the confusion. Apparently I am in need of a coffee injection :)
Steve, it is guys like you that get the rest of us in trouble. I want to rebuild my 1970 daily driver and make it a road rocket with manners. My wife keeps insisting I "just sell the thing and buy a ZO6"! It is a tough decision, I like my body style but like the power and manner of the Z06! What am I to do???????????hmmmmmmmmm. How do you like the 850, I just got a 2002 ML320 for my wife and she loves it. (She originally wanted the X5.. do you like BMW?) :seeya
Steve,
It's really coming now! The engine looks SO beautiful. I know it's all the rage with the hard-cores, but to me, it's a shame to put those huge crude Moroso valve covers on such a finely detailed, highly finished motor. I thought you spent extra $$ for lower rocker arms, so you'd have a greater selection of valve covers? Sorry, I guess I'm just old-fashioned, but I think weld beads are unattractive, and should be ground flush on finish work.
Other than that very minor detail, I think they've done a FANTASTIC job for you! All the best!
:chevy :chevy
You got to be ready to drive that bad boy. You know the rusto rod look is in. Throw a couple of those Mexican blanckets over the seats and hand paint the flames on it. RUSTO ROD...
Sorry to hear about the contract. As you know things always get better after a war. Hell the mall parking lots were full yesterday.

Man, what a decision. . . My advice, keep your car and get a ZO6
Hey Roadster, The decision is killing me. I can only have one hotrod at a time. I drive my pick up when the weather is bad. The Z06 I have my eye on is 2001 with only 742 miles. The dealer is asking $45,999. I think I can get him down another 1K. I keep thinking, keep what I have and modify the hell out of it or just buy FACTORY power...... I'm screwed either way..I WANT BOTH!
I haven't been able to get through to view series 19 but from some of the replies I assume you are having trouble with the brake booster. I had the same problem. I am that guy from Canada with the blower setup. I went with the CHEVY hydraboost. They are used in the 80's and 90's diesel trucks and vans. The unit I have now is from a 94 one ton dually. It is very compact and VERY VERY powerful. They are about $800 new and $50 used. The wrecker told me there is just no market for a used unit. I bought 2. They run off the power steering pump and they are very compact, no bigger then a normal master cylinder. They extend the stock master cylinder out twice as long but it leaves lots of room for the valve cover and header and plug replacement. Don't be so stubborn guys and look at the units. They are far more powerful then vacuum booster, super compact, cheap and bolt right in without any mods. They last forever.
