77 alternator not working

77 alternator not working
Hey guys
my 77 alternator is not working and the dash light and gauge are not working as well the water temp gauge is out.
i checked all the fuses and they appear to be ok
the pink wire on the alt. has power the little brown (black) not sure what the colour is. It has not power but if i put power to it 12v. the light on the dash comes on.
any ideas and also looking for a wireing diagram

The pink is red, just faded, and the brown wire is the sense wire coming from the dash telling the alt to charge.
Test that brown wire for 12V with the key on.
It's a good idea to test the battery and alt both, but it sounds like a bad alternator.
