I need to replace the front fiberglass nose piece on my 1973. Can anyone give me advice on what to look for to help allign the new nose piece? I am having a hard time matching up the new piece to the old body. Where do I check to see if the body is mounted correctly and inline with itself. I know nothing is ever a direct replacement, but I am looking for tips to make this experience easier. Such as, how I get my fingers in there to get the nuts on the back of the mounting brackets.
Any help is appreciated.
Matt
Are the wheel wells already mounted or not ? Ecklers has a fiberglass repair manual that explains this very good.
You need to make sure that it mount good onto your radiator frame and that the distances left and right from the windshield are correct and so on. The gap between doors and fenders is not always correct and needs to be filed sometimes
