Default Parts car?

Found a 70 parts car that has a decent engine looking at it I was wondering about the heads as the owner told me that they were dart heads? Are they worth his asking price of 150? how can you tell what they are as I could not find ant #'s on them?Nothing on the front or rear? Could the #'s be on the sides? Or do the valve covers have to be removed? Thanks all

Yup, should have DART cast into the oil valley between the rocker studs somewhere. And yes, if they're not broken or worn out, Darts are good heads and $150.00 is a bargain of incredible proportions. It also seems, if I remember correctly, that the ends of the heads have the whole surface machined flat, not just the areas around the bolt holes.
