Default What is this?

New Corvette owner, 1977 L42. I was unistalling a morphidite after market alarm that someone installed and found a black box pluged into the side of the fuse panel. Its on the right side is about 3 inch square, It has several spade plugs that plug into the right side of the fuse panel, It also has a wire coming out of the box and two wires plugged into the side. What really is strange is that the plug on the side is on in such a way that it has one spade terminal not pluged in, and it appears that the same wire goes a short distance and should be plugged into another wire but is not. the other two wires seam to be plugged in properly. This box has nothing to do with the after market alarm, I just found it and need to know what it is and why the wires are not connected.

Thanks for the help

Paul

If it looks like this, it is the beeper for the ignition key and headlights on. How about filling out your profile.
