Default Where does this ground strap go

I have a ground wire on the passenger side, one side is hooked to one of the exhaust clamp bolts under the heat riser. Where should this be connected. Should it connect to the starter ?

On my 74 there"s a ground wire that connects to the engine block and then runs to the frame, it"s right in front of the starter, large enough it looks like a battery cable maby this is the ground your speaking of.

Yes it is the same size as a battery cable, probably about 12" long. It is in front of the starter so probably the same wire. When I have the front of the car raised up again I will check on the block and frame to see if I can find where it was originally........THANKS

On my '70 one end attaches to the motor mount and the other to a starter bracket....
