Default Side Pipes

I would like to put side pipes on my 68 327. Can anyone offer suggestions on what to use? Is it something I can do myself? Do I need to modify the Body at all?

It depends if you want to go with factory style side pipes or aftermarket Hooker or Stahl sidepipes..
The factory sidepies shouldn't require any modifications except for maybe the exhaust panel in the rear of the car (as the cutouts for the exhaust will still be there but no exhaust)
As for the Hooker Sidepipes.. you might need to trim the rocker panel in front to get enough clearance for the pipes.. Some Vettes require to cut those panels and others don't..

I have Stahl headers and STS baffles under factory covers. Can't say enough about how great this set-up is. Some of my previous posts have many photos and a video clip... might want to check it out.
