Tightening steering
I'm very happy with it.
But the steering and brakes need help. There is about a 1/4 turn in the wheel before it catches. It drifts hard to the left (worse with the brakes on) but the alignment is OK.
I have a line lock on the front which is coming off and then bleed the brakes. (new rotors/calipers and pads are on) so hopefully that will cure the brake situation.
What should I do to tighten up the steering (the wheel is off about 90 degrees while driving straight)
Can I tell you all how psyched I am to have a new vette to tinker with :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I'm glad it isn't perfect, but I'm very glad that nothing major needs to be done.
Thanks for the help.
Daniel
It should answer all your questions on centering your steering gear and then your steering wheel.
If you have further questions, just keep posting or eMail me.
Your problem sounds somewhat like my project car.when i first got it
the car would try to turn hard right on me,both front and rear suspension
needed to be rebuilt. but the right turn problem was the spring on that side
came out in two pieces.just a thought.
