I purchased a set of Mr. Gasket Ultra-seal intake manifold gaskets with rubber end seals. The instructions say to not use any gasket sealer around the ports or water jackets. They only want a dab of sealer in the 4 corners where the gaskets meet. Any suggestions? Also, a simple question, does the paper gasket fit over or under the rubber end seals. I'm fixing a leaky gasket, and I want to be sure it doesn't leak when I'm done.

forget the rubber gaskets on the front and back rails, they tend to shift when installing te intake and are prone to leaking - use Permatex RTV instead and as they make the bead a bit thicker in the four corners are these are notorious leak areas.
I always put a bead of RTV around the four corner water jacket ports also as an added safety measure against leaks.
