Just rebuilt the steering column. Repaired the horn wire, because it was shorting out. Get it all back together. The short is repaired, but the horns don't sound. When I connect the horn contacts at the end of the column (steering wheel side) the horn relay clicks and a get a decent size draw on the circuit. No horn though. Relay is new.
How do I test the actual horns. If I jump the horn wire to ground at the Harmonica connection, should the horn go off?
Hey Smokin I had the same prob, I had to rewire everything and a new realy but still no dice, turns out my horns were shot, new high/lows from PepZoneWarehouse solved the problem.
Check your grounds from the horns to good clean metal too, that could be hindering your honking.
You can test the horn by touching a hot wire to the terminal on the horn.
Temporarily connect a wire to the battery post on the alternator. Touch the now "hot" wire to the terminal on the horn. If it doesn't work, the horn is shot.
