1981 Rear End Ratio-stock?

I thought the ratio was the same as was once in my '80 L48: 3.07. But, I just checked a resto guide and found the following for the '81:
2.87:1 Posi with automatic trans
2.72:1 Posi with four-speed trans
I replaced my 80's tired Dana 44 with a new, service replacement (rare to find these days), blueprinted unit with 3.55 Spicer gears after I installed a Bow-Tie 700R4 overdrive trans.
