Default Temp Control HOT/COLD cable

When I pull **** from Left/COLD to Maximum Right/HOT, I get resistance and **** returns back towards Cold about 3/4 inch, on my 80'

I think I might have a cable that isn't adjusted correctly as every other cable on this car has been messed with up to this point

Is there any adjustment I can make to fix this and where does this cable go from the heater control?

Between your console and the heater control valve switch (behind the glove compartment hidden under some insulation) there is an in line adjustment. You just twist it until the switch is activated at the right time and the lever is near centered. It's not hard, just pull off the right side of your console and pull out the glove compartment, you'll figure it out. God bless, Sensei

On your 1980 remove the screw on the right side console cover. You will see a white adjuster wheel on the temp cable just turn it and you will get the lever to move more to the cold side.

actually, I would like it to move ALL THE WAY to HOT side (and not "spring" back 3/4" towards cold .... but I take it, it would be same adjustment .....

Yes either way. If it is to far to the hot side the air cond won't get as cold as it should. You can adjust it and then slide the lever until you get it where you want it.
