I got my alignment done yesterday finally. The guy did a great job. He got the specs right on for the VBandP advanced street settings. I did take some advice and increase the tow by a 16th from the listed 0*. It took him about 3 hours to do the whole job which did include adding and removing rear shims. He actually let me help out sense I had never done alignments before. The car was a “Rock Star” at the garage. Every customer that came in had to come and take a look especially when it was cranked up. We even had an SC State Trooper hang out with us while he was on his lunch break. The Trooper kept saying he was going to get the first test drive after the alignment was done. Of course I told him yes. We were going to play a joke on my wife and he was going to pull me over in our driveway but she didn’t get off work before he had to go back on duty.
I did have to put the old rally's back on because the Smoothie II's would not hold the alignment tools and we were afraid of trying to make it work and scratching the rims. There was an older guy there that offered to run me home and get the rallys sense the car was already setup on the rack. After about 4hrs of working , telling jokes and general conversation the alignment was done. The cost? $85.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is on my to do list. Thanks for the info about the wheels. I will install my old rallys before it goes in.
I too love small-town life until I need parts and then you have to order everything 3 times until you get lucky and it arrives undamaged and is actually what you ordered. Lots of down-time waiting on parts that my city friends go buy off the shelf.
We have every national parts store and if it's not motor oil or car wax they have to order it. I love to see them search their computer for a 598 when I tell them what engine size I have when looking for a lugnut!!! I really miss the car nuts working for the parts houses instead of the computer nerds.

Wade, now that the alignment is done, does that mean you can drive it to the Cruise In? You are getting closer and closer. Now you can take it out and run some gas through it. Should be a fun summer with the car ready.
Sounds like a great shop that knows what they are doing. What kind of equipment did they have? Hunter makes aluminum wheel adaptors that attach to the tips of the wheel heads, but sometimes the ones designed for car wheels don't fit with high-performance tires. When I worked there, I had to borrow some tiny adapter tips designed for Freightliner wheels from the HD garage to align my Talon.
