The ABB suffix is for a 1978 350ci/160hp used in C-50/school bus'.

The engine was assembeled at the flint michigan plant on August 23, but without the other numbers on the block, that's about all. There is the engine casting code and date code on the flange where the transmission or bell housing bolts up, usually behind and to either side of the distributor area. these give the month and year the engine was cast and the pattern or mold number that was used. Submit any other numbers you can find and I'll see if I can tell you more.
