door pannel removal

door pannel removal

how do u remove a door pannel? i took off the handels but the lock thing is being difficult to take off......do i just yank it off?

you can take a chance on breaking the lock or you can get a tool that pushes back the clip. they are cheap at the local parts store. once you get it, you have to put it to the grinder to take off some metal from the sides to get it to fit/clear the door trim. you can make a tool if you want, but they are so cheap at the store . . .

Sometimes the door handle removal tool is just too hard to use to remove door lock clip. If this is the case, use a piece of thin, hardened flat stock (1/8') with a slight bend. You can then push the clip off. Worked really well for me.
