Yep super jet is some good stuff. there is even a spray catalyzer that'll speed up the set time(as if it needed it). And the worst I did was glue my hand to the workbench building my RC airplanes
hey BSerry...I used to R/C race drag cars. I've got a rail, a '34 coup, and a RC 10T2...plus a zillion batteries...I got out of the little cars when I was old enough for my big one...plus the big one is more expencive, and I had to pick one or the other...
You interested in anything I've got? e mail me if you want a complete list...Im looking to make some room for 'vette parts while I rebuild them, and my R/C stuff it taking up lots of space...doing nothing...would like for it all to find a good home.
Daniel
PS. I never use superglue...if I can't bolt the thing together...I don't want it. :jester
After building (and repairing) lot'sa airplanes, I would have to say that Balsa USA makes the best CA around!
I have tried just about all of the others and, this is the stuff that sticks.
I plowed a new plane into the ground at about 70 mph ( aileron control rod came loose on maiden flight),
And broke every piece of wood in the plane except the tail. We all were amazed that every glue joint held.
all the breakage was in the wood, that plane went in the trash, nothing left to put back together...

I'm the ugly old fart with the red and white citabria in the first row
I have heard that most of this stuff is made by the same companies. Supposedly there are only 3 or 4 actual manufacturers of CA glue, they sell it to the distributors who repackage it and retail it under thier names. The quality difference has to do with the age of the stuff before it is delivered to the repackagers. The longer it has been sitting around the manufacturers warehouse the cheaper they sell it.
I also heard that the reason the odorless stuff is so much more expensive is because it is only manufactured by a single company in France.
(disclaimer) I don't remember where I read this, and it was several years ago so it might be outdated information. :D
The highest quality stuff I have found is from ZAP products.
Yea Kicker rocks!
Have you ever added baking soda to some really hot CA then hit it with the kicker? It turns into a foamy rock! Great for gap filling :D Hope you don't need to cut it cause you'll need carbide tools, it's hard!
