Ok, Brown came today and dropped off some Door Hinges (LH Upper and lower) from VOLVETTE (SH*T !! I forgot I wasn't supposed to user them, Oh well.). Also got pins and bushings for the pass side. as well as all new bolts.
The Hinges look to be an unbolt/bolt & shim affair... "repeat until done" affair.
My question is on in the pass side...
I take off the hinges press or cut out the old pins, Media blast paint and press in new pins with the new bushings? Is that it? I've laready replaced the springs so I can just re use them correct... The only pin and bushing work I have done before is on bulldozers
That's about it. The pins are not a extreme tight fit. Fairly easy to knock out & tap back in with a hammer. I rebuilt an old set, added new springs & bushings & they work great. The hinges are pretty hefty, it would be hard to ruin the steel.
