JUST A QUICK QUESTION . WILL SEATS FROM THE YEARS '78 - '82 FIT IN MY '76 ? AS IN, WILL THEY BOLT DIRECTLY IN PLACE . OR, AM I LOOKING FOR A WORLD OF GRIEF ?
They'll all fit except for the 81/82 ones with electric driver's seat, same bolt holes and eveything. You might be happier with some aftermarket or Celica/Porsche/Fiero seats if you want to change out the original ones. Good condition 78-up seats are not cheap and they're really not as comfy as they look (they're virtually non-adjustable). You car doesn't look stock (assuming it's the one in your avatar...more pics of the rear would be nice ) and non-stock seats might look better inside it.
They fit just fine. I had to use my '75 seat tracks on the '81 seats due to the floor plan and fabricated a spacer for the front (the '81 tracks have that spacer already).

THAT WOULD BE MY CAR YOU SEE . NOT MUCH IS STOCK ANYMORE. IT NOW HAS AN ' 80 REAR BUMPER AND NOSE , '76 HOOD , AND A '94 LT1 AND TRANNY . WHAT YOU SEE IS EXACTLY AS I BOUGHT IT ! THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE WINDOW CONVERSION DONE .
SO, ASIDE FROM THE POWER SEATS, I'D HAVE NO TROUBLE ? INTRIGUING . ALTHOUGH, I MIGHT HAVE TO PARK MY BUTT IN ONE OR MORE SEATS TO COMPARE THEM TO MINE .

Some pics on the window conversion and the rest of the car would be nice.
hey star you ever thought of making that hood a functional ram air system?
My scoops are cut out, so yeah they let fresh air in. I may try to work out some kind of cold-air box/ram air sealed-up-to-the-hood deal, but I have a few other projects to finish up first.
My 74 came w/later model seats. The front bolts up to stk holes. The rear mounts are just a little wider than stk holes. They don't fit the way I want yet. I will be upgrading to the speed direct seats soon I hope. Then I can sell my old seats for rebuilding.
Hey Wraith666, That Vette is Crazy Cool!!!!! How about some more pics of it? Maybe something a bit bigger and closer up. I didn't even notice the window until it was mentioned. Man, is that sweet!!!!

I have other pics of it, closer in fact . But, they are of the back with the new bumper on it, which , at the time, was White ! Tell ya what . Someone tell me how to put the pics on here, and you'll be able to see both rear and front . As I said, just not painted .

Just go to photobucket.com, open a free account and upload the pictures to there. Then copy and paste into your narrative (Where you write this info.) Its really easy, and I'm not that great with computers. There is a section on the forum to practice, try it out. I'm still waiting to see those pics.
