Twisted Vette
While replacing the rear spring on my 81, I noticed I had to jack the left side adjustment a lot higher than the right. I was measuring the distance on the wheel opening to get everything in order. But now when I look at the car from the back, the left side looks a lot higher. If I measure on the back of the bumper, I'm and inch off? Could worn out body mounts cause this, or could I have a twisted frame? When I had the car aligned, everything did check out!!

i think its a common thing to be like that actually. I have a friend with an 81 and looking at it from the back on level ground makes the right rear corner look like its slightly sagging. His rear spoiler edge is off about an inch also measured from the back, even though his fender lip is the same on both sides
one side hangs lower than the other

I had the same " leaning", if you will, problem with my 1970. I replaced the rear spring, strut rods, and all 4 shocks, and it made little or no difference. Just to complete things, I then replaced the front coil springs and BINGO! She now sits dead level. just my experience. Was glad it wasn't the body bushings. Good luck!!!!!!!!
