I installed a front mono spring along with VB tubular upper control arms this winter. Along with that I put on a Dual mount rear along with Dragvettes 6 link as some of you have seen earlier. On my first outing I had both front and rear set at the 2nd softest setting. It was way soft in the rear. The ride height was very low even adjusted way up on the bolts. It bottomed out a lot and was just real bad. I upped the rear rate to the stiffest setting. This was better but still not what I had wanted. I had a slight interference of the upper mount on the 6 link to the bracket for the rear bump stop. This was only only full suspension compression. A little die grinder work on the bracket and the 6 link was clear. No problem there. The suspension was still not right. I called VB and explained what was going on. He had me read him the spring rate off the spring. It was a very soft dual mount spring. They sent me another spring that was much stiffer. It was thicker just looking at it. I installed this one and set it at the 2nd softest setting again and not as far up on the bolts. The ride height is set at 27.5 to 28 inches at the fender lip. This puts my halfshafts right at parallel just where you want them.
My son and I took off yesterday for a short test ride. I have to say that was the most enjoyable ride I have had in all the years (12 years) I have owned the car.. It rode like a dream. Don't get me wrong it is not like riding on a cloud but it is wayyy smoother. Still firm and we put it hard into some corners with little or no body lean. We ended up putting on about 50 miles just grinning the whole way. I just did not want to come home. I am now anxious to see what it is like on the stiffer settings on the autoX and the drags. The car is now a pleasure to drive without the bone jarring ride I had.
One more thing, NO WHEEL HOP! We let loose a few times and no signs of any hop at all. Traction was not optimal but I was getting it last year under same conditions.
I think I finally found the setup I was looking for. 4 different front setups and 5 different rear setups I finally got it right.
One more thing I originally went with a 1 inch shorter both sides on the rear spring. It looked like I had plenty of clearance so the latest spring I had made up was only 1/2 shorter each side and it fits the 18X10s no problem.
WooHoo for you Gordon mines still up in the air, just can't get motivated w/this weather. so how low u sitting up front? i can vouch w/ya, the VB suspension system is a major improvement in the ride. lets see some pics!
sorry for the stupid question, but how did you adjust the rear suspension setting for firmer vs. softer? I know their front setup has both a height and firmness setting but have never heard of a rear firmness adjustment so does the rear dual mount this feature also? glad to hear you don't have any more wheel hop. I will be ordering the dragvette 6 link setup here shortly as well so I don't shake my rearend to death any more.

The rear setup is very similar in how you adjust the firmness. There are 4 holes like the front. You just move the bracket in or out for softer of firmer ride.
Man oh man yet another item i just need to have for my 68.
on top of that i need to get it all chromed so that it'll fit with the rest under my car.
This damn Corvette is sucking my wallet dry
Great to see that that they made it fit with the dual mount system that i am also driving with
