I just upgraded my 69 to power brakes. I put on a new booster and master cylinder. I then bled the brakes. I was sure not to get air in the lines. Now my pedal won't come back up when I press it. It also does not seem to go all the way down anymore. The pushrod appears to be set right as the fluid squirts out at about 1/2 inch but I can't push it down much further either.
Right now I am stealing the vaccum from a smaller line until the manifold fitting comes in. Any advice?
Breaks with no vacuum assist will feel like manual brakes. Also, check the brake pedal return spring and see if it's still functioning. It's at the pivot point where the pedal meets the bar.
