ok, I was able to get there by typing it in a piece at a time.
For those that can't get the link to work type the first part then hit your stop button quickly before it moves you to the other site then type the rest of the link in and it will work.
It is a nice Red/Tan 308 GTS Quattrovalve. I like the 308's more than the 328. I still like the Testarossa the most (well, actually I like the 288GTO the most, but I am trying to be realistc about fantasies of ownership here), but the 308 is a good choice. I can only wonder what the maintenance cost is like on those things! Does anyone know if you can lean how to handle the basics your self?
One of my favorite cars also. I was going to buy one, until I found out the price on repairs and parts. I was quoted over $2,000 for a starter, for example.
I think the maintenance will be lube and oil change only. The motor is way too complex for shadetree mechanics
But I will get the service manual and give it a shot
From your post I am assuming that the 308 is yours? If so, how does it ride, handle, SOUND, accelerate, brake, etc. I know the old 308's aren't as quick as some of the newer cars, but it is still a Ferrari, and it is still way  and lustable!
I have thought seriously about buying a Ferrari like the 512BB & would work on it myself. When I worked for an exotic car dealer they said replacing the clutch was about $5000 on a mid engine V-12.
I've had my eye on a 308 or 328 for >5 years now. As soon as I finish my degrees, that'll be one of my keepers I imagine (along with my current Stingray). I also plan to build a GT40 replica with my son, but not for a few years yet...he's 2.
Congrats on the car. Funny how all the really great cars (308/328 or GT40)tend to look like the C3...hmmm...
Re: CORVETTE Owner gets FERRARI (Chris Fowler '80)
George, they're not as bad to work on as you would think. I serviced and repaired two 308's (1 GTS, 1 GTB) in the past and thouroughly enjoyed them. The carbureted one was especially fun! 4 Webers make a wonderful induction noise when you honk on it. Also, the Ferrari fraternity is very close and you'll get lots of help from them.
