you prolly don't even need to tell them the car or color name. Just the year and the color code. When I got my color, it was 1969 #976(I believe)...thats all they needed to know. Even though we had to call them up to find out the difference between '69 #976 and '68 had a different number, but the same color name. Turns out its the same color, but GM did some reorginizing and redid all their codes. So I picked the '69 color over te '68 just cus the number is more fun. :D

That kid being me! ;) So do I just tell Dupont I need GM/Chevy Corvette Paint Color #76 for a 1974-1975 corvette?

Original codes are as follows, all for acrylic lacquer: Dupont, #5291L, Rinshed-Mason #A-2460R, and Ditzler #2349. Your friend's paint supplier should be able to take those numbers and mix Mille Miglia Red.
