I have a clunking noise that repeats over and over again when I'm moving. All of the u-joints are new. Could the clutches in the posi be sticking? I did add limited slip oil.

Are you referring to the GM posi additive? Did you add 2 bottles?
EDIT: If you did this, I have seen some forum members recommend going to an empty parking lot and driving in figure eights to get everything working properly.

don't take it out driving it around with a clunking noise look at the
u-joints or whatever find out whats wrong with it. The strut rods
adjust the camber the alignment shop will get that right.
You don't say exactly when you get the clunk. I had a similar problem. I replaced all the U joints but that didn't stop the clunk. It ended up being a little known rubber bumper at the top front of the differential. It had fallen off.
Hitting/clunking noise may also be from a bent backing plate, parking brake mechanism misalignment or a number of things from the rear end area.
I would jack up the rear one side at a time, select neutral and spin the wheel by hand to eliminate each system. This will tell you if your problem is within the wheel ie, brakes.
You have to troubleshoot more.
- does noise remain constant in gear and while coasting?
- is noise constant while making large sweeping turn to right and left?
- does frequency of noise increase with speed of vehicle or eng RPM?
- is the noise a clunk, click, hit, whine?

It was a u-joint. It was not properly secured. I took it to have it alligned. Everything is good now. Except for the leaky valve cover, I've re gasketed it so many times. It is cast alum so I don't see how it could be warped. It leaks all over my header wrap and makes a ton of smoke.
