Most people on this forum have $1,000 of dollars in their car. Most people would like to know which product is QUALITY.
Autozone is not "The best kept secret in America." It's a given.
If you would like to buy your products there, it's a free country.

If your replacement hose doesn't have the spring, just take the one out of the old hose. Clean it up and install in the new hose.

As far as the stainless hoses, Coolflex/Summit etc, yes the work but they also come in one size with different sized rubber collars to glue into the ends to make it fit your neck size if smaller. In my experience these are good for a while but will end up leaking and being a PITA down the road.

S/S braided hose (assuming that is what you are talking about) in that size is very stiff and rigid, and would be a major problem to get the bends you need, especially the lower hose. Best thing is go to GM and order a prebent one, you will have enough problems with that putting it on, especially if you have a BB!!! GOOD LUCK, tight tough job on a Vette................B

I don't think his old one had a spring, and that's why he went looking for a new one that did.

Price does matter...but so does quality...and these days quality has suffered due to imports of aftermarket parts...

On the other hand...if one has a $10 head....wear a $10 helmet....
