Default Battery discharge

I was wondering what the thoughts were on the best meter to check for battery discharge. Is a digital better or an analog? I put a new battery in our 70 last fall and it doesn't seem to hold a charge very long. I haven't had much chance to see how long it will hold it for yet. Just would like some thoughts on the meter choice. I tend to think the digital would show a drain easier. Thanks.

I have 3 meters. Two digital and one Analog. The analog one never gets used. The digital will show milliamps much better than the analog. I would stick with the digital.

yea, I like my analog Simpson 260 but rarely use it. I have several digitals, all Fluke. They do do a better job with Miliamps and if you get a good one with autoranging its even better
