can't open door door stud loose.
I did this last weekend!
Take the door panel off. It can be done but you had better be prepared to replace the panel. I had the panel bent in the shape of the bottom of a shallow bowl. I wouldn't advise doing this if the door panel is in good condition. I had two mechanics and a dealership tell me I couldn't do it too!
If you don't want to do that. Try wedging it open to were you can get a hold of the rod that connects to the inside lock. Keep slamming that rod around. Hard!
I pushed it down too hard or so I thought right as I was giving up hope and it clicked and I jerked the door open.
If you have problems give me a shout and I will help you out the best I can.
William.
Oh, a tire tool works pretty good to pry the door panel back.

You said the door stud was loose, are you talking about the Striker Bolt? What the door lock latches around.
I am not sure if this is a year model specific thing, but on my 74 there is a panel on the inside of the rear fenderwell that I was told gives you access to tighting and moving the striker bolt around. Worth lookin' into.
