Default 2 electrical questions

Brought my meter home from work & was checking some things.

1st I checked my plug wires & came up with the following ohm readings.
cyl
1 1504
2 1860
3 1720
4 1519
5 1102
6 1071
7 808
8 978

obously the longest wires had the highest resistance. What would be a normal resistance per ft. #7 is about a foot long so I am figuring about 800 ohms per foot on these wires. They are cheap Accel super stock 8mm wires. Should I upgrade to a better wire?

Next battery voltage.
engine off 12.6 V
Idle @750rpm w/ no accessories on 14.55 V
all accessories I could find on (dual fans, hi-beams & high fan ) 12.75 V

I'm thinking the charging system is in good shape, am I correct?

Thanks in advance!

Actually, those #s are fine. I doubt you would notice any change with a different set.

Second question, rev the engine to at least 2k and see if voltages come up above 14V @ the alternator output terminal. System should be good if true.

Thanks for the responces.

When I rev it up with everything turned on voltage comes up to 14.75v.
This is at the alternator. So I guess everything is good.

Thanks agian!
