L32 vortec
Got my breather problem solved on my vortec project. I simple used a 17$ standard 3" x 9 " breather and have 1 inch to spare. So I no now I can get away with at least a 4" x 14" drop base now, maybe more. Anyway I can keep the trash out until I find out what I can use, close my hood like I'm gonna try to fabracate a stock breather like the one that came off.

I don't know what year you have but remember the hood is probably lower the further forward you go. Your one inch at the edge of the 9" breather may not be an inch at the edge of a 14" breather. More than one trip to the auto parts store speaking here.
