Default Is it possible to adapt???

Is it possible to adapt a straight bolt pattern starter to a staggered pattern?

I have a nearly new powermaster Xs Torque mini starter with a straight bolt pattern. Unfortunately, my new block has a staggered pattern Any Ideas??? I really don't want to spend $240 for a new one

I would be open to possible trade ideas as well.

my block had the slanted(staggered) bolt pattern and I have a 153 tooth flywheel small bell housing etc.
and from what I have gathered in my research on line and going back and forth with my local auto parts store this slanted pattern is only for the larger 168 tooth flywheel and a bigger bell housing, how many teeth do you have on your flex plate or fly wheel, I just finished drilling and tapping the block for the straight type starter, by hand, but if any one else out there has another suggestion lets hear it (not trying to piggy back this thread)

Call Powermaster...the block unbolts, you should be able to buy the correct one for your application. Should be fairly cheap.
