my car died on me today and would not restart, it wanted to but just wouldnt. after some troubleshooting i found that even though a fuse was not blown, it did not have power to it. i jumped it from another part of the fuse block that was working and the car started right up. my question is this: do i remove the fuse block and see if there is a wire loose or why did this pare of the fuse block stop working? the fuse is still good however. any help would be appreciated.
It's tough to answer without knowing which fuse was the one without power. When solving electrical problems on my 76, the year-correct wiring diagram from Lectric Limited was invaluable. All the usual mail-order places sell them for about $20. Money very well spent.
try v8spirit.com for wiring dia. and try to stick to basics one wire at a time and follow it to the short. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE.
