Thinking about trying to get some cold air to my carb on my 70 LT1 car. I have seen closed element breathers with dual snorkles that guys have attached flex duct to to pipe in some cold air but was wondering if there was a drop base version of that dual snorkle breather as my factory breather is a holley style drop base for hood clearance.

I was interested in this too. When I did my research, the biggest problem was the hood clearance and the restriction of any adapter fitting on the carb. My 71 has the standard hood. If I used the 1 or 2 snorkel air breather, the steel breather would heat up the air going into the carb.
Last year when I was looking, I just couldn't find anything that would work.
I'd appreciate it if you would share when you find something that would work.
A friend told me that Nitrous is a good way to introduce cold into the inlet air. It is suppose to come out of the nozzle at 30 below.
