Cruise Control ??
Anyone tried to adapt a cruise servo/transducer module from mid to late 80's car to a C3? what would it take to get it working?
I am having trouble locating a transducer for my 81, aparently 2 yr only 81, 82 and they are $$. Ebay peckerwood is trying to rip me off on the one I bought there.
So I was wondering, what would it take...
there a 4 wire connector on the newer unit, and a vac hose. But I don't remember a speedo cable so I am asuming it gets a signal from somewhere, 81 and 82 have a speedo output signal to the ECM, got me thinkin...

If I remember right, the only differance between the 79&80 Cruse and the 81-82 is that the 81-82 have the resume feature. I don't think they are controled by the ECM as Bubba dissonnected mine and my cruse works fine. I am getting a little bounce in the Speedo and need to change the Speedo cables. If you don't think you need the resume - look for a 79 - 80 version. Good Luck.

I just had the same problem finding one for my 81..There are two different models one has a two wire plug and the other has a three wire plug..You can get it from eklers.com or mid america. If you have the resume module on the top take the bracket off and put it on the new one.. Mid America was the cheapest for the two wire $99 part number 609549..
