Alternator Problem?
The battery light in my 1980 L48 comes on very dimly when the car is running. I also have an intermittant buzzing noise in the dash that appears related to this. I comes and goes upon acceleration. I took the car to and alternator shop and the test showed good charging. The technician thinks it might be the regulator. I have not had any problems with the battery dishcharging but the buzzing noise is really irritating. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have a voltmeter that you can check the voltage with? You can check the voltage output of the alternator at the back of the alternator.
You should see approximately this voltage with the car off.
You should see approximately this voltage with the car running.
