1982 door stuck closed
help I have got a 1982 that the passenger door want open feels like it is locked but it is not. When you look in the door you see a rod that moove but it still want open thanks for your help

There should be a black piece of plastic that covers the latch, it is anti theft device. If you can get a drill down in there a cut out a hole or two you could probably work a hanger down in there and pop the the latch.
The other option is to take the door panel off from the inside. Yea I know, everybody says it can't be done. Don't listen to them. Just try not to beat up the panel too bad if you use this option. Once it's off you have full access to the long locking rod and you can use the door panel cut outs to reach up in there.

Pull the passenger seat and then the door panel. With the panel off you will be able to get to a lever on the latch to get it unlocked. Once its open I would remove the latch, thuroghly clean and lube it then reinstall.
This pis is for the drivers side, but reverse it and it will look like the pass side. Push down on the end of the lever indicated to open the door.
