Default '72 firewall insulation

OK, I got the car completely apart now...I need some ideas as to what I can use for firewall insulation....up under/behind the dash.....
GM used jute padding cut to fit, and spray glued in place....but jute is not sold in carpet places anymore here....
so...what to use???? not fiberglass duct board from HVAC as the fibers would travel forever...
need something smell/itch safe, somewhat flexible....

any ideas????

not having a hot interior any more....

One of the vendors is making the firewall pad now. It is fit for the 72 with the correct cutouts. Can't remeber who right now if I find it I will post it. It was not available when I did my 72 and I had to use an old one. Just pulled out my Corvette Central catolog. On page 106 they list a firewall insulation kit for 229 a little pricey but they have it.

If you don't mind a little bubba-ism where it doesn't show, Home Depot sells a water heater insulation blanket for $20 you can cut to fit. That's what took the place of my underhood insulation.
