Just finished the weatherstripping project yesterday. I got it from corvette-rubber as their prices were the best I found-$225 w/shipping for car set. Over all I'm pleased with the fit and finish but it is not as good as the factory original stuff which lasted 20 something years. I'd call it a good two-day project because of all the mess cleaning up the old stuff and removal of trim which means while you at it, why not repaint these pieces? Now I've got the windows to adjust again!!!! It is too much to hope that they will fit to new weatherstripping so that really makes this a three day job.

Did my 82 CE last year and got all of weatherstrip from Corvette Rubber. liked the fit and I think the rear window cast Appx. $175 but I'm not sure what it is now. Take your time and it will work out OK. Don't forget, you have to replace two rivets when you replace the rear weatherstrip. :seeya

I replaced my rear hatch weatherstriping a couple years ago and I got it from my local GM dealer (they had to order it). I believe it cost $200 but was worth it because it was the real thing not a repo and it fit perfectly.

I just bought a complete set for my roadster from Doctor Rebuild. He has good prices and has pieces other vendors don't include. And if he stands by all the claims in his catalog, the quality is superior to what others offer, tho' I do see some differences compared to the originals. But...I bought some other small detail trim/weatherstrip pieces from another common vendor who is more or less a distributor, and I was less than impressed with the quality and the fit. The Dr claims to be much better than the competition in these departments.

And...NOBODIES but NOBODIES catalog compares to Dr Rebuild's!!!!

Good luck
Chris
