I'm trying to figure out how much clearance I need between my header and new steering box. Does the engine torque to the passenger side? I should really know this, but don't - and I can't start the car to find out.

Thanks!
Yes, under load the engine is forced toward the passenger side.
Driver side motor mount is the one that breaks from torque.
The engine will lift on the driver side, reducing clearance between the header and steering box. A good set of poly mounts will reduce movement.
If it lifts from the driver's side, wouldn't that increase the clearance between the header and the box?
I have a good set of poly mounts so I don't have a lot of movement, but I don't think my 1/8" clearance is enough... think .25 might do it, if the motor moves away from the box under load.
