I agree guys, I have always heard them rattle in your hand but I never heard one rattle while it is running. I will try a new one and see if it quieter.

Your PCV valve is rated by the vacuum required to open the valve, just like the power valve on a holley carb. If you look at the bottom of the valve the plunger or part that moves inside will have a marking on it that can be traced to the vacuum needed. I do not know where to get this info at the moment, but you could try a valve made for an earlier low vacuum car like the early 350/327 HP engines. My guess is you got one to fit your year/model with the stock engine and your new engine package doesnt pull enough vacuum to keep the plunger up at idle.
