Front Window - small chips - NEED HELP!
Hi all,
My 78 has the original front windshield. However, when it was repainted from the Silver Anniversary 2-tone to Red, I believe that whoever sanded the old paint off didn't properly cover the front windshield, hence many very small (almost minute) chips in the window.
Now, I don't want to replace the window (because otherwise it's fine), I just want to restore it so that it doesn't look like it's dirty all the time (due to these small chips). Is there anything I can do to restore my front windshield? Maybe some sort of compound? Or is this best left for professionals?

There are some places that can do minor windshield repair with the windshield installed. Many will come to you. I think they mostly repair fisheyes. I'm not sure about chips. The repair doesn't make the damage complete invisible but it does make it less noticeable.
