Default whoo found the engine numbers!

and they match, Heh I was happy, :) I know I know its something most of you guys can do in the dark blindfolded with snow gloves on. Also I was wondering if I paid too much or too little for the car. Unfortunatly I bought the car before I knew of the forum, but I dont think I got off too bad. The car has the original engine, and Im assuming transmission. Frame seems to be in good shape, some surface rust. Interior needs to be redone, its got the "delux" style. 4 speed transmission, shifts a little hard but I think its just a matter of adjusting the linkage. The carb was not original and didnt even hook up to the car corretly, ive since changed to a different carb. Right now the only major problem is the brakes. Ive changed the calipers, rubber lines, and the master cylinder and still cant get the problem fixed. I bought the car for $5500 and drove it off the lot. I have a feeling that its worth more, but maybe not. Over all Ive enjoyed being able to work on such a cool car.

PS any sugestions on the brakes would be helpful.

thanks,
ben

Congratulations and welcome...

Don't worry about what you paid for it. I'd lose sleep if I worried about how much I have in mine. Just enjoy it, learn all you can, get your hands dirty once in a while, and cruise on.
