My AIM is on it's way to me, and I'm having difficulty finding a Shop Manual for my car (discontinued) :cry so I thought I'd ask the experts :yesnod:
On the passenger side kick panel in my 77, there is what appears to be a rubber flap in a body vent, controled by a vacumm canister. Is this part of the AC system?? My AC is broken, so what does this do and when? Thanks in advance  :seeya :seeya :seeya

Yep, part of A/C system, this is the door that is actuated when you switch the A/C selector switch to 'Max' cool. Instead of injesting normal outside air, when in the 'Max' position, this door is operated by vacuum to move to recirculate the inside cabin/cockpit air only. When I switch my A/C to 'Max', I can actually hear the door moving, since I replaced the door seal with a 'homemade' seal. (original factory seal had almost completely disintegrated)_
I am not sure about your question but you can get the service manual on Ebay as I did mine for a 69. Cost 11 bucks. :flag
