Buick seats in a C3?

Thanks for the compliment! The drivers seat was powered so I pulled that off(btw sold it to a forum member
I found the best way to work on this is to have the seats upside down with the back facing you.
Pulled the C3 brackets off the seat.
Using paper made a template of the bolt pattern. I used the back of the seat as my guide for the new seat. My spacing left to right was 15.5 inches (I think)
Pulled the C5 brackets off the seat. Placed the paper template over the new seat. I lined up the template to the back of the seat and centered the bolt pattern making sure the bolts were equally spaced(left to right) on the new frame.
My plan was to tap and drill new holes into the new seat frames, but to do this I had to shift my template towards the back a little so the front seat mounts had a flat surface to tap. At this point I figured the best thing to do would be to bolt the brackets down on the back of the seat, adjust the front of the brackets for the correct position, mark and tap.
Also, I had to cut out a relief in the C5 frame for the C3 slider arm. The frames are aluminum so I got out my trusty Dremel and started hackin away.
I used 2 5/16 fender washers between the bracket and seat frame to clear the bolts that are holding the backrest adjuster to the frame. But it would be easy to counter sink the rails to get the brackets to fit flush. I reused the C3 bracket bolts (5/16 18) to bolt the frames down.
rinse and repeat

Sperkins, sorry for the hijack. I think C5 seats would look great in your car
