Dye for seats
Has anyone ever dyed leather seats a different color without removing the covers from the frame? Is this an option? Does the dye do a nice job? Does it fade? Or is it better to do a replacement?

I havent dyed any Corvette seats but our shop has dyed entire seat surfaces for various customers without removing them from the car. We used SEM prep and dyes and it turns out pretty good. The key is in the prep, you have to really work the material and get it clean.

IMO, seats are a primary wear area, and any coloration efforts are doomed to fail pretty quick.....just like carpet dyes, or much of anything else....you get FLORIDA sunlight on that sob and you find out quickly....
