Default '68 Calipers rubbing rotor (With Pics)

I'm fairly new to trying to fix my dad's old vette, and I'm not sure of the history of the parts located within. For all I know, dad slid it into a curb while drunk... so....

I am having some issues with my passenger rotor getting rubbed by the corner of the caliper, causing the rotor to receive a nice ring in it. I took some pictures before I took it all apart, but I can't seem to get them off the dvd disk. <sigh>

I pulled off both calipers to start the cleaning / measuring process and noticed something odd. When I stick both calipers on the table, the mounting bracket on one is an eighth of an inch higher then the other.

I looked op the casting numbers and going by this post, I'm all messed up.

I have a 5452270 and 5473795 (both inners) up front

Rear
Left inner 5465902
Left outer 5452284
Right inner 5452281
Right outer 5452284

From what I gather, the 81 & 84 are the ones I should have. The 902/284 combo seemed to be working ok, at least they didn't rub. The ones that was having troubles were the ones that were correct.

Once I pull off the calipers, how do I go about making sure the hubs are straight and level? I guess I would then work my way back out from there. I'm not sure what’s right and what's wrong, and am a little unsure of how to find out what part is wrong. I would hate to just throw money at it until it works.

The half shafts are currently out as well.

I had this issue on the left rear of my '68. The problem was a slightly bent caliper mounting bracket. This is a big deal on the rear because you have to disassemble the trailing arm spindle assembly in order to get it out and replace it. If you look at some of the websites for the big corvette parts vendors you can see an exploded view of the rear spindle assembly. Unfortunately, this is one of the more complicated jobs on a corvette. It is unlikely that the caliper itself is warped as these are cast pieces so they will break before they bend but before you go tearing into the spindle assembly (or paying someone else to do it), I would verify the issue. Just my .02 cents.

How can I tell if the bracket is correct or bent?

I have a feeling that I should just take both arms off, and have them both rebuilt. They both need some luvin'. Just was not looking forward to the work, or the cost quite yet

Not sure you can just look at it and tell it is bent, unless it is severely bent (and in that case you would not have needed to post). I would look at the good side and take some measurements, maybe even use a level and see if you can determine if it is bent. If you are still unsure, you may go to an auto parts store (like Advanced Autoparts), and order a caliper for that bad side and bolt it up. If it rubs, it is probably the bracket, if it doesn't then it must be your caliper. Then just return the caliper as there is no need to hook up the brake lines.
